Park

Swissôtel Resort Sochi Kamelia park is one of the Hotel’s major assets. Its magnificent diversity of trees and plants takes back to the foundation of the unique plant collection at Sochi Arboretum.

With its total area of 7 hectares, at present it is home for about 15 thousand plants. The landscape service makes sure the park’s plant collection thrives and expands.

The park is classified as a relic as most of the plants were preserved in the Soviet time and were left untouched during the reconstruction of facilities and building of the infrastructure.

Swissôtel Resort Sochi Kamelia received its name in the honor of “Kamelia” sanatorium, previously located at the park (the territory that is now the apartment complex). In its turn the sanatorium was named after camellias that bloomed during the building’s construction.
